Adding colleagues to LocoBase means your location library and theirs can coexist in one workspace. Each accepted invite adds 5 locations, 50 image reads, and 1 project to both accounts, permanently, once the person you invited creates their first location. For the invite caps per plan and the Expert Advisor program, see Referrals and the Expert Advisor Program.
Sending an invite
- Go to Settings, then Plan & Billing
- Find Upgrade with Invites
- Copy your referral link, or send invites by email from the same panel
- Watch Invite Progress and Rewards Earned for what has landed
The reward is not paid on signup. It lands when the person you invited creates their first location, which stops the obvious gaming of the system and means an invite someone accepted but never used earns nothing.
What you actually get
Per accepted invite, both accounts get:
- +5 locations on the library limit
- +50 image reads
- +1 project
That is the whole mechanic. There is no tier that unlocks at a certain number of invites, and no feature that is gated behind having a network. Invites raise your limits, and that is it.
The rewards are permanent and survive a downgrade. If you cancel a paid plan, the invite-earned allowance stays on the account rather than being clawed back.
There is a cap on how many invites can be rewarded per plan, and the Expert Advisor program is a separate arrangement with different terms. Both are in Referrals and the Expert Advisor Program.
What an invite does not do
Worth being clear, because the wording invites the assumption: an accepted invite does not join two libraries together. Your colleague does not gain access to your locations, and you do not gain access to theirs. There is no shared pool.
Access is always granted deliberately, per project or per location, with a role attached. See Share Projects with Your Team and Location Sharing.
So the reason to invite someone you work with is partly the raised limits and partly that sharing with an existing account is smoother than sharing with a stranger's inbox. It is not that you end up pooling your work.
Who is worth inviting
The invites that turn into first locations, and therefore into rewards, tend to be people who already have the problem the app solves: scouts and location managers with a photo library they cannot search, and production managers who are currently receiving your PDFs.
People who would benefit least are the ones who only ever need to look at what you send them. They do not need an account for that, and a share link works without one.
